President Obama said unenthusiastic Democratic voters would be “irresponsible” to sit out the midterm elections, an “inexcusable” decision that could lead to the liberal agenda being blocked for years. "People need to shake off this lethargy,” Obama told Rolling Stone, and "if people now want to take their ball and go home, that tells me folks weren't serious in the first place." Polls show that Democratic voters are far less excited about November’s vote than Republicans. The president will be stumping in four states this week, with just a little over a month before the elections. Democrats need to “wake up” and see that their members of Congress have delivered on many campaign promises from health care to student loans, Obama said, and if Republicans take over, Democrats won’t be able to get the rest of their agenda done.
