As French President Francois Hollande arrives in the U.S. fresh off his scandalous affair and breakup, he and President Obama appear to be conveying a political bromance, or at least are trying to. The two have released a joint essay in the Washington Post and Le Monde celebrating their “renewed alliance” and taking a jab at George W. Bush, noting “A decade ago, few would have imagined our two countries working so closely together.” The essay focused on the beginning of talks with Iran, but also stressed the need for a new climate accord.
