Maybe he scored a new MacBook Air, too: President Obama met with Apple Chief Steve Jobs near San Francisco Thursday night. Obama requested the meeting, according to White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, where the two talked about “the economy, innovation and technology, education.” Luckily, the two are a natural pair to get together: Obama’s an Apple fan, and Jobs is a supporter of Democratic causes. The president was in the area to make a fundraising push before the midterm elections, including an event at Google Vice President Marissa Mayer’s home where plates reportedly went for $30,000 each.
