President Obama said on Wednesday that there is “no evidence” that any classified evidence leaked in the scandal involving former CIA director David Petraeus and U.S. Gen. John Allen. Obama said the FBI has their own protocols on the investigation involving Petraeus, who resigned last week after admitting to an extramarital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, whose home was searched Monday for classified information. Meanwhile, the president also insisted that he is pushing the House of Representatives to come to a deal to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff, the term that refers to what will happen when the Bush tax cuts expire iat the end of the year and a set of draconian spending cuts phase in. Obama said he had heard “Republican after Republican” say they need more revenue from the wealthiest Americans, and he said the “math tends not to work” in simply closing loopholes to avoid the fiscal cliff.
