Vacation, all he ever wanted: Now that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is more or less plugged and Iraq has finally seen the last of American combat troops leave its borders, President Obama can kick back for a whopping ten days—but not before taking one last crack at recalcitrant Republicans attempting to block legislation to boost the faltering economy. "A majority of senators are in favor of the bill and yet the obstruction continues," he said on Thursday, referring to a small business aid package he hopes Congress will pass when they return from their summer recess in a month. "It's obstruction that stands in the way of small business owners getting the loans and the tax cuts that they need to prosper. It's obstruction that defies common sense." Shortly after arriving at Martha's Vineyard he still had some presidential duties to attend to, announced a series of recess appointments for diplomatic and agency jobs. According to the White House, Obama will most probably golf, hit the beach, and eat a good amount of ice cream.
