When Obama said that his economic plan had cut taxes, the Republicans in the chamber Wednesday remained silent. "I thought I'd get some applause on that one," Obama said. The president tried to call upon some of the magic of the campaign trail, once again presenting his agenda as one of change and reform—the things, he said, Americans had voted for when they elected him.
