Bad news for Rick Santorum—the former senator may be neck-and-neck with Mitt Romney in Ohio, but polls show that Romney is actually beating Santorum among Catholic voters. A new CNN/ORC International poll found that among the Ohio Catholics who plan to vote on Super Tuesday, Romney leads Santorum 39 percent to 33 percent. Polls in Michigan, where Romney won, showed a similar lead last week; Michigan and Ohio both have large Catholic populations. CNN’s polling director said, “The surprise is that the Catholic candidate, Santorum, is losing the Catholic vote.”
