A spate of car pileups plagued Ohio Monday as the state suffered winter weather and slick roadways. There were at least four pileups, including one in Cincinnati that involved at least 86 cars and left a 12-year-old girl dead. The girl had gotten out of a damaged vehicle and stood on the median of the roadway near a cable barrier, which snapped and struck and killed her when another vehicle hit the barrier. In addition, at least 20 others were injured, and Interstate 275 was shut down for hours. Another pileup on I-75 in southwest Ohio involved 50 cars.
