Things are strange in Oklahoma, where Gov. Mary Fallin defied the state supreme court over an execution. On Tuesday, she issued a stay for an execution scheduled that day that had already been stayed by the state's surpreme court yesterday. Fallin wrote an executive order, saying, "this attempted stay of execution is outside the constitutional authority of that body." The supreme court's postponed execution for Clayton Lockett until a hearing could be held, while Fallin's stay only lasts for seven days, rescheduling it for April 29.
