Once again, Oprah Winfrey has netted the big fish: The talk-show queen has nabbed the first TV interview with John Edwards’ mistress, Rielle Hunter, the National Enquirer is reporting. Beyond a simple tête-à-tête, Hunter has promised Winfrey access to her home in Charlotte, North Carolina, for a piece set to air in May. Hunter was apparently in talks with Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer, according to the tabloid, but picked Winfrey over the two ABC hosts—in part because she felt Winfrey was “more spiritual and would get her,” an insider said. “She's excited about giving her account of how she met John, how the affair began, and what's in store for her future,” the source also confided. “Rielle also wants to clear the air about the GQ photos—she's basically doing it to get the truth out and tell her side of the story." John Edwards, meanwhile, has encouraged her to do the interview, the Enquirer reports.
