An Oregon logger captured himself and others getting sprayed with pesticides from a company’s helicopter. The videos provided to The Oregonian show Seneca Jones Timber Co. aircraft spraying near unprotected workers, sometimes even dumping toxic chemicals on their trucks (that later drove through residential neighborhoods). Darryl Ivy “paused repeatedly during interviews, coughing blood into a stained white towel he now carries everywhere,” The Oregonian wrote. Seneca Jones Timber manager Ted Reiss denied observing anything inappropriate in three videos shown to him, adding that the company is cooperating with state investigations.
