Four men were hanged in Pakistan on Wednesday in connection to last December’s attack on an army school that left more than 150 people dead, most of them children. The men were the first to be hanged in relation to the Dec. 16, 2014, attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, and comes just two weeks before the anniversary of the incident. The four men were executed at a jail in the northwest city of Kohat, security officials said. Last year’s devastating attacks gripped the country, prompting the creation of military courts to try terror suspects and the reestablishment of capital punishment after a six-year moratorium.
