Ron Paul has won an important endorsement just days ahead of South Carolina’s primary. Senator Tom Davis, a prominent Tea Party Republican, announced in Myrtle Beach that he’d be supporting the Texas congressman in his effort to become the GOP’s nominee in the 2012 presidential election. “I’m endorsing Ron Paul because enough is enough,” the Senator wrote in a statement. “Despite this wave of unprecedented government spending, our unemployment rate has remained above 8 percent for the last 34 months and 146.4 million Americans—one out of every two people in this country—are now classified as poor or low-income.” Excited about the endorsement, Paul told CNN it would “bring a lot of attention for me.”
