Clapper, the Pentagon’s highest ranking intelligence official. Three people have now left the position, each describing the job description as “flawed,” according to the Associated Press. The position was created after the 9/11 attacks, and it requires the supervision of 16 separate intelligence agencies. “We created a Washington-centric solution to a problem that is global and networked,” said a former CIA officer of its drawbacks.
