Former four-star general David Petraeus was sentenced to two years probation and a fine of $100,000 on Thursday for sharing classified information with Paula Broadwell, his biographer and mistress. He pled guilty to one misdemeanor count of unauthorized removal and retention of eight "black book" binders that he obtained during his time as general. According to WBTV, Petraeus apologized for his actions in court, saying, "I'm honored and humbled by their words and support. I want to apologize for the pain my actions caused." Petraeus stepped down as the head of the CIA in winter 2012 when it was about to be announced that he was under FBI investigation.
