The National League Championship Series is heading back to Philadelphia. The Phillies stayed alive by clawing out a 4-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants in Game 5 Thursday night to force a Game 6 on Saturday as they chase their third straight N.L. pennant. The Giants, who still lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, missed a huge chance to secure their spot in the World Series with their ace, Tim Lincecum, on the mound. The Phillies got to him early with three runs in the third inning and never looked back thanks to six solid innings from Roy Halladay. On the American League side, the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers will resume hostilities tonight in Arlington. The defending champion Yankees, down 3-2 in the series, are once again facing elimination. Eighteen-game winner Phil Hughes will take the mound for them against the Rangers’ Colby Lewis.
