Pippa Middleton’s Four Outfit Changes: Pippa Middleton made four outfit changes yesterday while promoting her new book Celebrate in the UK. And while her roster of designers may have included cool names like Roksanda Ilincic and Marcus Lupfer, it wasn’t impressing one little girl who told Middleton, “I hate princesses.” [Vogue UK]
Courtney Love’s Clothing Line: Courtney Love has created a clothing line by reconstructing 30-year-old vintage pieces that she’s had stashed in her closet since working at Paramount’s wardrobe department in 1983. Like Love, the items are an impressively attractive hot mess. She’s called the line “Never the Bride” and its one-of-a-kind pieces will reportedly start selling on Net-A-Porter pretty soon. Duro Olowu Lands A Collab: J.C. Penny is getting in on the Target, Kohl’s, and Macy’s action by starting their own high-low program for designer collaborations. First up? Michelle Obama-approved Nigerian designer Duro Olowu, who’s colorful and cheery prints have inspired a cult following. The announcement marks a new leaf in J.C. Penny’s recently revamped image since undergoing massive rebranding in the past year. Olowu’s entire collection for the store will sell for under $100, hitting racks this March. [InStyle]
Now Let's All Wear Monaco Blue: Pantone took a good look at all of the shows at New York Fashion Week and decided that the arbitrarily named “Monaco Blue” is the official color of the spring 2013 season. Last year’s color, “Tangerine Tango” went on to become the focal point for Pantone’s makeup collaboration with Sephora, so there’s no telling what Monaco Blue can achieve. Other colors in their top 10 roundup include shades like “Tender Shoots” and “Lemon Zest.” [Glamour]
