Three New Orleans police officers have been convicted in the shooting of Henry Glover, a 31-year-old man in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. One officer was found guilty of manslaughter, another of obstruction of justice, and a third of perjury for filing a false police report. The circumstances surrounding the incident were so horrific that they prompted a full review of the New Orleans police force by the Justice Department. Glover had been driving a stolen truck to pick up merchandise looted from a local mall during the flooding. Six officers were charged, but the others were absolved of responsibility for the crime.
