The sexual-harassment claims against GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain have definitely hurt him, according to a new poll conducted by Politico and George Washington University that was released Monday. On Sunday, Nov. 6, Cain was the GOP frontrunner with 40 percent of support among likely Republican voters. On Monday, after a high-profile press conference held by Sharon Bialek, one of the women accusing Cain of sexual harassment, he had dropped to third with 22 percent, and on Wednesday it was 19 percent. Cain’s support among women was only 21 percent, compared with 32 percent among men. In the full sample of the four-day-long poll, the former pizza mogul was still the frontrunner with 27 percent to Mitt Romney’s 25 percent. In a head-to-head matchup with President Obama, Cain trails, 49 to 40 percent.
