The Charleston-based Post and Courier won a Pulitzer Prize for public-service journalism on Monday. The newspaper staff was awarded for "Till Death Do Us Part," a series on domestic abuse. Other winners include the Seattle Times for breaking news, Diana Marcum of the Los Angeles Times for feature writing, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for breaking news photography during Ferguson riots. The New York Times won three awards, for investigative reporting, international reporting, and feature photography. Bloomberg News won its first-ever Pulitzer for explanatory reporting.
