Officials said marijuana “grow operations” were discovered at the three sites where eight family members were shot to death execution-style in southern Ohio. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine told reporters Sunday that the killings were a “pre-planned execution of eight individuals” in Piketon, a town of about 2,000 people 90 miles east of Cincinnati. The victims, whicn included seven adults and a 16-year-old boy, were shot in the head while sleeping at four different residences before dawn, officials said. A 4-day-old infant, 6-month-old, and 3-year-old surivived. DeWine didn’t say whether they thought the shootings were drug-related, but an official told CNN the marijuana operation was “not for personal use” and was a “very sophisticated operation.”
