President Obama announced Saturday that he will be focusing on the economy in his State of the Union address on Tuesday. Obama said in the video released to millions of campaign supporters that he would create an economic plan that will “work for everyone, not a wealthy few.” Obama said he will focus on areas he believes will help restore economic security; manufacturing, education, energy, job training and a “return to American values.” Obama is expected to offer new proposals to make college more affordable and to ease the housing crisis, as well as promote unfinished parts of his jobs plan. His preview did not mention national security.
