A group promoting the legalization of rape will meet up at more than 150 sites in two dozen countries on Feb. 6, including one at the front door of the Alamo in San Antonio. Daryush Valizadeh, leader of the founding group The Return of Kings, calls himself a “pick-up artist” and argues that legalizing rape on private property would somehow prevent rape. “If rape becomes legal,” he proposes, “she will never be unchaperoned with a man she doesn’t want to sleep with.” Attendees are instructed to ask “fellow tribesmen” if they know where to find a pet shop. Those present for the rape-legalization meetup will know the correct coded answer: “Yes, it’s right there.” Australian immigration officials have allegedly summoned an emergency meeting to discuss the group’s leader, who some would prefer not enter the country.
