Japan has reportedly ordered its military to be ready to shoot down any projectiles headed its way from North Korea as authorities are on alert for a possible missile launch, Japanese media said Tuesday. While Japan’s defense ministry has declined to comment on the matter, this would be the fourth time this year that Tokyo has put its forces on alert over the Hermit Kingdom’s antics. Tensions in the area have been high since Kim Jong Un ran a test launch in January.
