Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto allegedly plagiarized much of his undergraduate law thesis in 1991, according to a new report from a local investigative journalist. The report, published Sunday, claims that about 28.9 percent of the 200-page thesis, titled “Mexican Presidentialism and Alvaro Obregon,” was not Nieto’s own original content. Presidential spokesman Eduardo Sanchez called the omitted attributions a “style error” in a statement, adding that Nieto met all of his graduation requirements.
