Christina Romer, one of President Obama’s top economic advisers, is quitting the White House, according to an article in tomorrow’s National Journal magazine. Romer is said to be fed up with the influence that Larry Summers, director of tha National Economic Council, has with Obama. A source tells National Journal, Romer “has been frustrated. She doesn’t feel that she has a direct line to the president. She would be giving different advice than Larry Summers, who does have a direct line to the president. She is ostensibly the chief economic adviser, but she doesn’t seem to be playing that role."
