The Trump administration will reportedly soon scale back regulations on American gun sales overseas, making it easier for U.S. gun manufacturers to sell firearms to foreign buyers. As part of the plan, according to Reuters, oversight of such gun sales would be transferred from the State Department to the Commerce Department. “There will be more leeway to do arms sales,” a senior administration official told Reuters. “You could really turn the spigot on if you do it the right way.” The change would not require Congressional approval.
