Rick Santorum is not on the D.C. Republican primary ballot. His campaign didn't pay the requisite fee and the D.C. Republican Party didn't want any write-in votes. However, the Santorum campaign is attempting to blame Rick's inability to win votes in the District of Columbia on his status as a political outsider, up against Mitt Romney's bureaucratic ties. "We expect Mitt Romney to do well in the D.C. area, no shock there, in fact it might even be unanimous—I don't know that we'll pick up a single vote in D.C. because of the vitriol D.C. has for someone like Rick Santorum who wants to shake things up here in Washington," said spokesman Hogan Gidley Tuesday.
