Republicans in Maine finally have a complete count for the state’s caucus after inclement weather in one eastern part of the state caused the vote to be postponed. Ron Paul picked up 83 votes against Mitt Romney in the region, though Romney still holds a 156-vote lead in statewide counts. Two dozen towns voted in Saturday’s caucus, even though the state Republican Party called the contest for Romney a week ago. A county GOP chairman is lobbying to have yesterday’s votes included in the statewide caucus count, a question that the Republican State Committee will take up in the coming month.
