Mitt Romney had the look of a relieved man on Tuesday night as he declared victory in his home state. Romney squeezed out a win over Rick Santorum in Michigan, leading 41 to 37 percent with 87 percent of precincts reporting. BuzzFeed politics reporter Zeke Miller declared it was the first time Romney had solicited money in a stump speech after the GOP frontrunner asked supporters to go to his website and donate what they could while also pledging support in other ways. Romney went after President Obama in his speech, saying the nation needed a “recovery from the recovery,” claiming Obama had failed to get the economy moving following the 2008 recession.
