Ron Paul’s Louisiana delegate dispute with Mitt Romney has finally been settled. The RNC struck a deal with the libertarian in order to avoid a standoff with the presidential nominee at next week's convention. “Paul will be awarded 17 of the state's 46 delegates in the compromise,” Paul’s campaign chairman said. Romney and Paul supporters went head to head during Lousiana’s party convention back in June, resulting in dueling conventions with each side counting its own list of delegates. “I think it’s a huge win for our campaign because it showed what happened in Louisiana was wrong,” said Paul’s campaign chairman in the Pelican State. “It’s been a long, uphill battle, but the overwhelming evidence was on our side.”
