The night before his wedding to Kate Middleton, Prince William surprised the crowd outside Clarence House, the royal residence in London, along with his brother and best man, Prince Harry. The royals bantered with stunned gatherers standing behind barriers. The betrothed prince reportedly told the crowd, “I hope I'm not too nervous tomorrow.” He thanked them and told them: “Make sure you wave at Charles and Camilla.” The relaxed Harry joked about those camped out in tents on the street. “I'm sleeping out here tonight… The atmosphere is fantastic. That's why we came out. In there we can hear it.”
