Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and the Florida governor’s race excepted, Tuesday’s races mostly went as expected: Tea Party darling Marco Rubio cruised to victory in Tuesday's Senate Republican primary in Florida. On the Democratic side, Kendrick Meek beat out billionaire investor Jeff Greene in a bitter contest. If Meek wins over Rubio and Independent Charlie Crist in Nov., he will be the state’s first black senator. Meanwhile, John McCain easily fended off primary challenger J.D. Hayworth: He won by a nearly 2-to-1 margin and led in every county in the state.
