Five Rutgers University football players were charged Thursday with assaulting a group of individuals, one of whom ended up with a broken jaw. The arrests are the result of an extensive investigation that began in April when police came to the scene of a reported home invasion in which three masked men allegedly broke into a New Brunswick, New Jersey, house and stole money and marijuana at gunpoint. Previously, Tejay Johnson, a former Rutgers player, was charged in the attack and was later linked by police to the assault for which the other players were charged today.
