The Democratic National Convention added two big names to its speaker schedule Tuesday. Both first lady Michelle Obama and San Antonio mayor Julian Castro will speak on Sept. 4, the event's opening night, with Castro giving the keynote speech. The San Antonio mayor will be the first Latino to deliver a keynote speech to a Democratic convention. "As mayor, Julian Castro has worked tirelessly to move San Antonio forward by building its economy from the middle out, not the top down, by putting the city on a path to being a leader in the new energy economy and making innovative investments to prepare San Antonio's students for the jobs of the future," 2012 convention chairman and Los Angeles mayor Anthony Villaraigosa wrote.
