Sen. Bernie Sanders’s campaign said a record crowd convened on Brooklyn’s Prospect Park ahead of the New York Democratic presidential primary Tuesday. More than 28,300 people attended the event, beating Sanders’s previous record of 28,000 in Portland, Oregon, in August, according the campaign and a production company that assisted with planning. More than 27,000 turned up in Washington Square Park last week at a Sanders rally and a large crowd is expected in Long Island City on Monday, the night before the primary.
