Looks like Jerry Sandusky will not disappear quietly into prison. The disgraced former Penn State football coach is due back in court Thursday to appeal his conviction on 45 charges of sexual abuse of young boys. He has been sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for abusing 10 boys during a 15-year period. Sandusky claims that his lawyers did not have enough time to prepare for the trial—and that they were overwhelmed by a deluge of materials from the prosecution. The attorney general’s office argued in a brief last week that Sandusky and his attorneys were made aware as early as 2008 that he had been accused of sexual assault.
