Santorum: It's Not 'Pastor in Chief'

Rick Santorum would like American pastors to step up their game because he’s not running for “pastor in chief,” OK? The newly popular GOP candidate explained, “It’s not because I want to be the pastor of the United States. I have no intention and no desire to be the pastor of this country.” Santorum told a group of 100 clergy Wednesday at a chapel in McKinney, Texas, “There are pastors all over here, who, you know—you guys can do a little better than you’re doing right now, I’ll be honest with you.” Santorum also praised the virtues of being an underestimated candidate, saying, “One of the great gifts that I’ve had in my political career is that no one ever thinks I could ever win anything.”
