Satellites aimed at Pakistan played a vital role in the hunt and capture of Osama bin Laden, according to a “black budget” revealed in Edward Snowden’s latest classified document dump, this time to The Washington Post. The NSA was also able to track the calls and movements of al Qaeda operatives and linked one of the phones to the Abbottabad compound where bin Laden was shot and killed.
