Saudi Arrested in Texas Bomb Plot

A Saudi citizen attending college in West Texas has been arrested by FBI agents on charges of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. The Justice Department announced Thursday that Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari tried to buy chemicals and other materials to make a bomb, and wanted to target former President George W. Bush. Aldawsari, 20, has been in the U.S. on a student visa since 2008, but authorities didn't immediately say where he attended classes. Officials say he enrolled in a U.S. school to carry out an attack.
