Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich Gulf countries have been accused of not doing enough to aid the refugees; the Saudi Press Agency countered by quoting an unnamed Foreign Ministry official who said Saudi Arabia does not consider its guests refugees and does not house them in camps “in order to ensure their dignity and safety.”
