The fourth accomplice in the theft of Edvard Munch’s painting The Scream was sentenced to a prison term of two and a half years by a court in Oslo this week. Bjoern Hoen was found guilty by a Norwegian appeals court of providing the getaway vehicle, which was used in the August 2004 heist of The Scream, as well as another Munch painting, Madonna. Hoen admitted to lending the car, but claimed that he did not how his black station wagon would be used. Two other men have been convicted of the crime and a third suspect died while awaiting trial in 2006, the same year that the paintings were unknowingly recovered.
