Finally, news that liberals can celebrate: The Senate appears set to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, as Republican Senators Scott Brown, Lisa Murkowski, and Olympia Snowe have pledged to vote to repeal the policy. They’ll be joined by Maine Senator Susan Collins, who was the only Republican to vote in favor of an earlier defense bill that would have repealed the measure. Now all that remains is for the Senate to schedule a vote; the House has already voted to repeal the policy.
