September is one of the most important months for fashion magazines, and this September in particular could mean make or break for some publications. Early numbers reveal that Elle’s ad pages are down 21 percent, Essence down 16.1 percent and Vogue is showing a 36 percent dip from last year. Still, these dips are smaller than the ones reported in March (except for Vogue, which had a 25 percent then). However, surprise winner, People Style Watch magazine will actually see an increase in ad pages by a reported 10%.
