It’s a story full of sound and fury, signifying…well, that’s unknown. During a pre-Grammys segment by the local CBS 2 TV station in Los Angeles, the camera cut to a live report from reporter Serene Branson, and that’s when things got strange. Branson began by saying, “We had a very, very heavy,” and then trailed off, making several unintelligible sounds, before the station cut her off. Video of the on-air flub quickly hit YouTube, and became a hilarious viral hit—that is, until The Telegraph claimed that Branson was hospitalized following the incident and may have suffered a stroke. Well, a statement posted on her station’s website has cleared up any misunderstanding: “Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning.” Laugh away.
