The second movie by the artist Steve McQueen, Shame, may be the favorite at the Venice Film Festival. The film, which stars Michael Fassbender as a sex addict and Carey Mulligan as his sister, opened to raves on Sunday. Shame, in which both lead actors drop their clothes, features “sex with escorts, internet sex, threesome sex, solo sex in the office toilet, sex in a window of the Standard Hotel or backroom gay sex,” according to The Guardian. Fassbender said filming the sex scenes could be uncomfortable: "The most important thing is to make sure that everybody involved is comfortable, as much as you can be, and then just kind of go for it so you don't have to do too many takes."
