A Utah nurse was arrested for refusing to give a patient's blood to police after she felt “betrayed and “angry” for trying to keep her patient safe. Alex Wubbels was handcuffed and carried into a patrol car at Salt Lake City Hospital after she attempted to explain why she couldn't draw an unconscious patient's blood for a police investigation. In the video, she is shown screaming and thrashing around while resisting arrest. After the police officers crowded the hospital work area, Wubbels told officers they needed either an electronic warrant, patient consent or were to be arresting the patient if they wanted her to take their blood. The patient was reportedly in a car crash and his blood was needed as part of the investigation.
