At least six people were killed and 100 others were injured late Friday when an earthquake rocked the Philippines, officials said. The 6.7-magnitude quake set off aftershocks which lasted 10 hours, an official with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. The town of Suriago was the most directly affected by the earthquake—homes and businesses were badly damaged, and electricity was cut off. Additionally, the local airport was shut down.
