If this doesn't make you feel lazy, nothing will. Breaking the record for fastest female one-mile run in a 75-pound EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) bomb-disposal suit, First Lt. Ashley Sorensen finished her race in just 11 minutes, 6 seconds Monday. Sorenson’s time, which will be entered in the Guinness Book of World Records, shatters the previous record by more than two minutes. Turning their EOD training into a competition, Sorenson told the press afterward, helps her and fellow soldiers better prepare for real-life situations in which they'll need the EOD. After 18 months of training, the Milwaukee native was thrilled with the results. “It feels awesome,” she gushed.
