Looks like Wyclef Jean's song “If I Was President” might not be so speculative after all: A former deputy minister in Haiti said the singer will run for president as part of a coalition in the November election. Pierre Eric Jean-Jacques, the former head of Haiti’s Chamber of Deputies, told the Associated Press that Jean will announce his candidacy, but a spokeswoman for the artist did not confirm the report. She said Jean will make an announcement Thursday night, but did not comment on the nature of the announcement. Jean, 37 years old, was born in Haiti but grew up in Brooklyn.
